THERAPY, COUNSELING
Tania has served as co-instructor in group sessions, while she has worked in clinics with groups dealing with depression and drug or alcohol addictions. She has also practiced psychotherapy in St. Martins Hospital at NHS working with people suffering from schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression and she has worked also as a Counselor at Frederick University and as a trainee-psychologist at AHEPA (University General Hospital Thessaloniki) following up patients with various neurological diseases.
Prior to obtaining her current position at HFC, she was the Psychology Department Coordinator, where she was responsible for the supervision of psychologists and other staff members working at the organization. Tania was also providing psychological support to unaccompanied minors and children and their families, referred to the organization. Tania has curated and delivered workshops focusing on school violence to both teachers and children as well as training professionals working with unaccompanied minors.
Furthermore, Tania shares the legal rights in Cyprus for the Emotional Intelligence Program for kids, “Manadoob” where she is certified to instruct groups of children, in regards of empowering their self-esteem and social skills. The program was translated in Greek and has been accredited by the Ministry of Education. Through this program, she is certified to train professionals on the specific method of working with children.
Lastly, Tania has conducted various workshops, presentations, and trainings to a range of professionals in the public and private sector including the Cyprus Police, Judges Training School, Supreme Court, EUROPOL, Council of Europe, Hospitals and many professional institutions.

Tania Masia is a psychologist, systemic psychotherapist and family therapist, with 14 years of experience in providing individual, couples, family and group support through counselling and therapy. Additionally, Tania serves as the Head of Children’s House, at “Hope For Children” CRC Police Center (HFC), specializing in cases of child sexual abuse. After graduating from Aristotle University Thessaloniki as a Psychologist in 2008, Tania pursued her Masters in Psychotherapy at University of Kent in 2010. She furthered her education with a 2-year program in Group Psychotherapy and a subsequent 2-year program in Counseling and Therapy for Psychopathology Disorders, all while undergoing personal therapy and supervision. Tania continued her training, by completing a 4-year professional education in Systemic Psychotherapy and Counseling, finishing in 2019.
She has undergone specialized training and obtain certification in “Forensic Interviewing of Children” at National Children Advocacy Center (NCAC) in Alabama US, Combined Parent-Child Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CPC-CBT) in Sweden, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and many more. She has participated in a series of study visits and peer trainings in specialized centers throughout Europe and abroad.
